The old man cast his eyes away unwilling to accept the coming of another season
The students squirmed in their small chairs too ready to forget about school work
Summer came with long days of labor under the beating sun, people looking glum for some reason
Summer came with children smiling, slurping melting ice cream, setting aside pork
The young ask the old "why are you so sad?"
And the old look at the young and ask "how can you be so happy?"
After all is the season not full of the glad
